Monthly group consultations allow you to benefit from Tom’s knowledge at lower cost.
It can be very supportive to work with other people in a group and this support continues in between meetings via a Facebook group. Some groups may have a student observer sitting in on the sessions who may contribute their knowledge and also provide some support on the Facebook group in between meetings.
Clearly Tom cannot give the same level of individualised support to you as an individual during these group meeting nor in between meetings as he would with an individual consultation. You may want to combine group support with individual consultations with Tom or another practitioner or in a low-cost student clinic.
Group consultations may have a teaching element and a questions and answers element. Tom will seek feedback from the group as to what they most want support with and will do his best to ensure every participant’s needs are addressed equally.
Groups are of 4-8 participants and meet for 2 hours every month. The group may be for general health issues or on the theme of Fatigue or Digestion. Group consultations are charged at £40 per meeting but advance payment is necessary as follows. A payment of £120 ensures your place in the group and covers the cost of your first 3 meetings but then before your second and every other meeting you pay £40 until you give notice that you are leaving the group. At this point you will have two meetings paid for. This ensures commitment and continuity of support to and from the group and gives Tom time to find replacement participants. It also allows the group to adjust in good time to your leaving.
If you would like to join a group send Tom a message using the contact form, letting him know what your health issues are and if you would like to join a group with a particular theme. You will then be asked to submit a short written application saying why you would like to join the group and what you hope to get from the group.
